Introducing the Naviga Engage Dashboard

Learn about our new feature in Engage 2.7 for data benchmarking, monitoring key metrics and gaining deeper insights into subscriber behavior.

We have seen many clients create content and campaigns based on a gut feeling, but we believe that data driven decisions are way better. Therefore, we have introduced the Naviga Engage Dashboard. This is an amazing tool for our clients to have a better understanding of how their visitors behave, to benchmark their data and to have a clear visualization on where and when to take action, driving customers closer to subscription. The Dashboard works by collecting data, primarily from Engage and the Subscription Panel, and processing it through different tools to display the visualizations and reports of the key metrics.

How Does It Work

Our final dashboard is the result of processing data through a series of tools. The primary tool being used is Google Data Studio which is great at converting data into customizable informative reports and dashboards. Data Studio is flexible and allows users to collect data from various sources. These data sources can be both Google connectors (e.g., Google Ads, YouTube Analytics, Google Surveys, Google Sheets) and partner connectors (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, Instagram Ads).

Dashboard view in Engage Admin

As you can see, the dashboard provides us with almost real time data of your clients behavior and the way you interact with them. Some of the insights you will instantly see are:

  • Key metrics over time which are a group of three time series charts that shows the amount of New Starts, Paywalls Displayed and Newsletter Signups in a given date range.
  • A table that shares the how many times a message was shown to the users and the title of that event.
  • The amount of article views by non subscriber users.
  • The amount of page views by the user state
  • The best offer that users have been using to subscribe or log in.
  • The best presentation that engages customers.
  • And a better understanding of your funnel in the Subscription Panel.

We have also provided a date range editor where you can see your data any date range available, making your dashboard an even more dynamic tool.

Data Collection Flow

Data Flow for the Dashboard

The User Activity data is collected from client’s websites and the Subscription Panel, where the G2I Plug-ins are running. The plug-in collects tags managed by Google Tag Manager (GTM), which is a tag management system that allows to update measurement codes and related code fragments collectively known as tags on a website. A tag is a tracking code or snippet of JavaScript that sends information about your site to a third party. To learn more about GTM, click here.

Tags are then available in Google Analytics (GA) and will execute on every page. GA is a free website analytics application that helps webmasters analyze site traffic. In short, the platform gives a complete picture related to website performance. For more information on Google Analytics, click here.

As mentioned, the dashboard is configured in Google Data Studio, where it collects the data needed from GA. As both tools are from Google, the linking of the data is simple and seamless, optimizing the configuration of the dashboard.

At Naviga, we strive to help our partners with their customer enagement and we trust our data as the best tool for this, even though people that manage Engage are normally business people and not a data team. This is the main reason we created the dashboard, to help non data people visualize, benchmark and monitor key metrics to make their business decisions much easier and execute ideas freely.
