Star Media Group to Modernize Ad Sales with Naviga Ad

Star Media Group Berhad, custodian of Malaysia's leading English news source, The Star, partners with Naviga to help modernize its ad sales.

Star Media Group Berhad, custodian of Malaysia’s leading English news source, The Star, recently signed an agreement with Naviga to manage all of its events, as well as its print and digital advertising with Naviga Ad.

The Star is available in print, web and mobile app, commanding pole position across these platforms. At the same time, Star Media Group’s consumer and business events attract a strong following among Malaysians.

Naviga Ad is an advertising sales system that will integrate The Star’s print, digital and event advertising sales processes into one platform, allowing the organization to manage ad sales from quote to cash for its newspaper, app, websites and events.

According to Kang Yew Jin, Group Chief Technology Officer at Star Media Group Berhad, “We wanted a modern, cloud solution specifically for ad sales that was an easy-to-use yet flexible solution that could meet our growing needs. We can now improve our workflows and efficiencies by integrating our print and digital sales, using a CRM built for ad sales, interfacing to Google Ad Manager, offering advertiser web self-service and utilizing it for event management.”

“For Naviga, working with The Star is significant in several ways,” says Bryan Hooley, VP International Sales and GM APAC. “We are proud that The Star, the biggest English news publisher in Malaysia, has chosen us to help modernize their ad sales. This validates that the Naviga Ad platform helps streamline sales and provide better customer service for media companies”.
